The Girls' Partied

The girls are back home (where they should be!) in their own beds fast asleep.  There little tummies are full of food and delicious cake.  Izzy is also covered head to toe in bubble residue.  Which is fine since it is basically soap.

Ty and I feel the party was a success.  Izzy said it was the best party of her whole life.  HQ got to have some cake, so we know she had a good time!  Out of the people that rsvp'd only 6 of them couldn't make it.  They had good excuses! But we were still bummed : /  We hope all of you feel better!

I got to see both of the cakes today and I LOVED them.  Especially the one from Sweet Lavender Bake Shoppe. They personalized it so beautifully and it was delicious!  Izzy liked seeing an "Izzy Spider" and a little sister "HQ Spider" on the cake.

Making an almost five year old wait until evening for her party to start was like torturing her.  She had a great time decorating, but once she was in her fairy princess costume she didn't understand why the party still needed to "wait".  Grandma Orpi and Ty took Izzy with them to go pick up the pizzas to help distract her.  When they got back there was only 20 minutes left till party time.  The moment her best friend showed up Izzy was in full party mode!  She showed her friend all the decorations and immediately went to paint pumpkins.   Unfortunately when we opened the pumpkin paint we discovered it was completely dried out!  It was just purchased in the last two days for $12 from Party City.  We weren't too happy.  My dad located some sharpies and the kids just used those instead.  They didn't seem to mind and in fact wished we had gotten more pumpkins for them to graffiti.

I just realized my camera is still at my parents house, and I will have to wait to tell you about the rest of the party when I have pictures to elaborate.

We did stay to finish the Vikings/Packers game at the house after the party.   It was a good close game.  We were soooooo close!
