Diamonds and Pearls

Another lazy day.  It's Apple week for Izzy.  So today she practiced her A's and learned about seeds.  We were going to make applesauce, but we didn't have enough apples... we'll save that for tomorrow.

The girls watching Sesame Street's Monster Hits
(HQ's favorite DVD)
Izzy took this picture of Emma today.
"I think the people on the computer really need to see her because she is the
best most cutest hamster!"
Today HQ managed to cover herself and our living room with beer.  Ty handed her a can to play with since it was cold and she likes playing with cold things.  He didn't think she could do any damage to it or vice versa.  Somehow she poked a hole in it and it started squirting all over the place.  Ty did his best to run it to the kitchen sink before it caused too much damage.  She was very pleased with herself.

Izzy was in a creative/sparkly mood today so we decided to break out the beads and make some jewelry.  Our bed is now covered in beads...
Making a bracelet for her best friend.

An Izzy original.
Izzy's favorites are "pearls" and "diamonds".  Pearls (to Izzy) are anything small, round, and light in color.  Diamonds are anything that sparkle.  She asked me today where pearls come from.
"Oysters, mussels, and clams make pearls" I said.
"Oh, lets go to the beach and get some clams.  We don't have very many pearls left" She replied.
"Well, it doesn't quite work like that..." I then explained what little I knew about how the pearls were actually made.
"What? I see the clams shells all the time! Let's go get them so they can make us pearls! I want to see!" She grabbed her shoes as if we were about to head out the door...

I had promised Izzy we would make some homemade pizza today.  I was so tired I over cooked it.  Fortunately she didn't seem to notice.  Ty enjoyed coming home to some fresh pizza too.
Outside of eating the cheese, spreading the sauce is her favorite part of making pizza.

HQ decided our cupboards needed to be reorganized.
Note: Get child safety locks
Not that we keep anything dangerous in there.  I would just rather not
have to keep cleaning the kitchen too.

Video: What do you want for Christmas?

The girls are asleep and Ty should be home any minute and hopefully we too will be asleep shortly.  He has the next three days off and I know he is looking forward to it.
