Christmas Tree

We had big plans to get our Christmas tree tonight, so we did our best to stay busy to help keep us from thinking about it all day. Outside of chores we did many things like:

We made normal faces and hung out in our underwear:

(ok, so HQ was the only one that hang out in her underwear... it's her new "thing")

We played the guitar and sang with Dad:

Then the time to get our tree came! Grandma and Grandpa Orpi came with us to help pick out the perfect tree. HQ loved picking the pine needles up and throwing them in the air like confetti or stuffing them in the trees (you know, to add volume). Izzy quickly found a branch and started to sweep. She was absolutely shocked at Home Depot for allowing the ground to be covered in so many pine needles.

Wondering why Grandpa Orpi would choose to hold Locke when there is a perfectly good HQ standing right next to him.

Ty proud of our find! I know it looks like he's about to step on HQ, but he isn't. I promise. 

We got the tree home and set it up. The tree took a little longer than planned to set up so we will decorate it tomorrow. Our tree is perfect :D Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Orpi! Izzy and I made some chocolate chip cookie bars to celebrate. So now our home smells like chocolate chip cookie and Christmas... like fat people live here. 

And now I finally get to sew! YAY! :)
