Ty just got home, so I shall keep this one short! Plus, my computer isn't recognizing my phone so I can't upload any pictures... :(
Ty and I both woke up this morning with our colds symptoms back... I pray they go away! Ty was off to work before the girls woke up again and this time Izzy was downright offended. After explaining in just a little more detail why he works so much she got it. She then suggested we go visit him at his new job. When I told her it was too far for us since he had to take the car she said, "Well, Dad can buy us a new car with all the money he has now. He can even get us a PINK one!" HQ was still a bit grumpy but manageable.
In the afternoon we had some visitors. Izzy and HQ's little pal Evie (who I believe is nearly 5 months old now!) came over for a bit. She came by with her mommy and grandmommy to drop of our hand crafted secret santa gifts. Ty had received a delicious plate of giant chocolate chip cookies and I got a hanging chinese lantern (made into a little hot air balloon with 3 little sea creatures inside) for the girls' room. I will get a picture of it when we hang it tomorrow. It is themed perfectly for their room! It was also nice to have the company. Little HQ didn't quite know what to think of Evie, But I think she was amazed that there was another person in this world smaller than her!
Izzy had prepared her room special earlier in the day. She wanted it to look cute for when Evie arrived. She had sat a few of her toys around the table in her room. She gave each stuffed animal/baby doll some fake food and a book to read. She was so excited to show it to her! Although Evie is too young to be impressed, Izzy was quite proud.
Sorry to cut it short, but Ty is demanding my attention and he definitely deserves it!
My ramblings about being a wife and mother/homeschool mom. A diary. A scrapbook. Whatever interests me. If you find it interesting too, awesome!

Fancy Shoe Section
Woke up without my husband again. Boo! The girls went to bed last night before he came home and woke up this morning with him already gone. Izzy asked, "Why does dad like to work so much? I like home more. We can cook, and draw, and play clay, and eat, and and play Mario Kart! What else can we do here?" HQ was still quite grumpy and gnawing away on her poor little fingers. Come on teeth!
Ahhh! I am so excited to use my new sewing area!! Here are the fabrics we picked for the girl's Christmas dresses... and Izzy's purse (Every 5 year old girl NEEDS a purse).
She looked absolutely angelic.. but the delay on my phone gave her ample time to realize what was going on and she decided to pose like this instead...

The fabric for HQ's dress. A traditional puffy little snowflake dress. I am also making a little white semi fluffy bolero jacket for her to wear.

Workspace and Santa
Ty worked 16 hours today, so that meant I was left alone with the little teething monster.. (I say that with the utmost of affection!) HQ got into EVERYTHING today and managed to find some of the weirdest ways to make today harder on me. The fact that she was extra crabby due to teething didn't make it anymore fun. Of course I wanted to spend the day organizing my new workspace and our bedroom (which is where my desk is) while HQ thought our time would be better spent smearing peanut butter on the walls and squishing blueberries into the clean laundry... yay stains! I guess when you still don't have much of an appetite it's best to find more creative means of disposing of your food.
Izzy came back tonight and I have never seen the girls more happy to see each other! They played and giggled for a good half hour before HQ went to bed. Izzy told me that she had seen Santa at the mall today and she was pretty sure this one was the real one. She asked me before why Santa looks different and even sometimes wears a fake beard. I told her that perhaps they are the real Santa, but probably work for him. So she got home today and said, "Mom, the Santa I saw at the mall today must have been the real one, cause he sure looked familiar! Don't worry, I told him I wanted glass slippers. I forgot to tell him that dad wanted a big screen TV though."
Poor Ty should be home soon. He works 16 hours again tomorrow and Tuesday, so I am sure he will be ready for bed. :(
HQ likes it when we empty the closets...
My new "workspace" :D Just in time to finish up the girl's Christmas dresses and some gifts! It is a serious upgrade from being able to use the kitchen table occasionally.
Caught trying to wiggle the doors open.
HQ LOVES the stockings. Funnily enough she actually gravitates toward hers. She's waiting for Santa.

Evil Molars!!
Ty got off work at noon today and we got my Ikea desktop. Yay! We drove to the 3rd closest location to get it.. but boy am I excited to have my own sewing space again!
After Ikea we noticed HQ was really down again. She kept squishing her cheeks and attacking her gums with her fingers. Her appetite also wasn't as big as usual and she just wanted to eat cold fruit and oatmeal today. We are pretty sure it's her molars coming in. She is not happy about it! And I hear her up again right now :(
We were originally supposed to go to a Christmas party tonight, but decided against it since we didn't want to leave HQ if she wasn't feeling well. Ty works 16 hours tomorrow and it's a long drive, so it was probably for the best anyway.

I have never seen these before!! In the stalls at this Ikea they have seats hanging from the door that you can put your small child in while you use the restroom. Wow.
Helping daddy pick out the perfect desktop.

HQ, not feeling well, climbed under my desk (while Ty was putting it together) and lay there.
Well, HQ is up again, and Ty has to get up in 5 hours for work so I suppose it's off to comfort her and hopefully get her back to sleep soon. :)

Exciting Stuff!
Today was a simple day. Ty left for work right after breakfast and Izzy wanted to play video games... since I know first hand how addictive they can be I decided to have her do some more "productive playtime". We molded clay into planets and then read about them... I have now reminded myself that our library books are overdue! We also built an "igloo" out of blankets and hid from the terrifying yettis.
After Chuck E Cheeses it was time to drop Izzy off at SD's house. HQ was, again, really bummed when she realized her sister was going somewhere without her. I look forward to the day when HQ realizes that her sister is only leaving for a little while and will be home soon!
Ty came home around lunch time and decided to surprise the girls with a trip to Chuck E Cheeses! Izzy was excited. HQ was just happy that Dad was home :) Izzy later asked me if Chuck E Cheeses was mean to chickens like McDonald's is.
Izzy wanting to cuddle.. HQ wanting her space!
Very exciting stuff is happening at Chuck E. Cheeses!
Ty has never been more excited!

The World of Izzycraft!
The girls were delivered at 7:45am. I opened the front door and HQ was sitting in her car seat happy as a clam... a clam with a runny nose. I asked Izzy what she did at Grandma and Grandpa's and she said, "Oh, you know, we just had fun like always.. were you and Dad sad the whole time me and HQ were gone?!". I love that little girl. Little HQ was extra huggy this morning. She wouldn't let me put her down for nearly 10 minutes. I guess three nights away from home was a little long : /
Shortly thereafter HQ's mood completely changed and I began to worry she may have been a little more sick than I had originally thought. A few hours later I realized it was just a yucky tummy bug that HQ needed to... "get rid of". By bedtime she was back to her happy self.
Since my dad dropped the girls and their car seats off at the same time the car seats sat inside. HQ loved sitting in her seat... Izzy decided to join her to see what all the fuss was about.
Ty's mom came to pick Izzy up for the Little Gym today since I was worried HQ was sick and I didn't want her to share her germs or get worse. That was a blessing! I really didn't want Izzy to miss today since they started volleyball and I know they are closed the next two weeks. Izzy would have been bummed too.
Ty should be home any minute, probably ready for bed and rightly so. The poor guy has been up since 3am!! At least he gets to sleep in till 7 tomorrow...
Izzy asked if she could learn a little about WoW... She had a ton of fun playing for a little bit today (she got to level 5!)

Glucose and Midwives
So today was exciting.. I didn't get to eat at all until almost noon! I had to go in for my glucose screening today. Normally you do your test first thing in the morning but we couldn't locate the necessary paperwork. When I had received my paperwork for the screening a few weeks ago I had immediately posted it on the fridge. If papers lie around, Izzy feels they are fair game for coloring/painting/stickering. However Ty thought the fridge looked too cluttered with the doctor's orders on it and moved it... so that meant we spent the morning looking for the elusive papers.
After the test I had a nice big turkey sandwich!! The first couple of bites seemed so heavenly. When you think you are dying of starvation I guess that's just how your mind works. I could have been eating onion flavored ice cream and thought it was amazing.
We went back home and played some more WoW together (we are such nerds) before meeting with the midwife. We LOVED her. Being talked to like a couple having a baby rather than a person who needs to have something removed was really refreshing! We have some finances/insurance to figure out, but we are going to make it work. We were so disgusted with how our hospital treated me and Peanut after the car accident there is no way we want to have our baby there. Also after having the yucky birthing experience we did with HQ... we are done with hospitals! Well, we were done before then, but we didn't have a choice since I was considered high risk with HQ. I also recommend watching "The Business of Being Born". If you have Netflix it's even on instant watch. And no, it's not gross.
After the midwife it was back to more games and relaxing at home with Ty. He works all day starting at 4am tomorrow... His cold has dramatically improved, but he still isn't 100%. I pray he doesn't relapse! The girls are also being dropped off in the morning. I look forward to seeing their beautiful fun little faces!
